Ai-Ai Breakdown Interview Creates New Derogatory Word in Pinoy DictionaryPinoy creativity is in the works again as it created a various words in popular dictionary. It started when Vice Ganda coined the verb “i-Dawn Zulueta” (carrying your special someone up in the air), then Pinoy twitverse coined the words “na-Gerald Anderson” (two-timing between two close friends) and “na-Janine Togonon” (left by your special someone for an international celebrity). With the scandal resulted by the latest interview of Boy Abunda to comedienne Ai-Ai Delas Alas, a new word has now been brewed to pop-culture – “Na-Jed Salang”.In the May 19,2013 episode of the Sunday showbiz talkshow, “The Buzz”, the whole country was stunned, not really by the revelations made by comedienne, but the way the interview went through. A devastated Ai-Ai faced the camera to confirm the rumors spreading for weeks that her marriage of 29 days is now over.Delas Alas, breaking down in tears, told Boy Abunda in an exclusive interview that she came into a decision to leave the 29-year old husband when a disagreement led to physical abuse.“Nung May 2, ang pinag-awayan talaga namin, gusto niya mag-monthsary kami sa casino. Ayaw ko na mag-casino siya kasi hindi naman healthy para sa kanya and hindi rin maganda para sa akin na nakikita ako sa casino. Sabi ko sa kanya doon na lang kami sa bahay or any hotel, huwag lang doon kasi may casino doon,” (On May 2, we really argued about celebrating our monthsary in a Casino. I don’t wanna go there because it’s not healthy for him and it’s not good for my stature to be seen in a casino. I told him to celebrate it in our house instead or any hotel, except in a Casino-Hotel.) Delas Alas said.This prompt Salang to wrestle the 48-year old comedienne.“Hinahagis ako sa kama, sampalan, bunuan. Noong araw na iyon, feeling ko ‘yung time na hinila niya ako sa sahig at kinaladkad niya ako, doon ko na-realize na hindi ko na ito kaya. Kasi parang feeling ko kabibigay ko pa lang ng dream niya, binigay ko sa iyo ang makapagpapaligaya sa iyo, binigyan ko siya ng kotse. Nung araw na iyon, kinaladkad mo ako sa sahig. Parang pakiramdam ko, ano pa ba ang magagawa mo sa akin habang ako lahat naibigay ko na sa iyo” – she added.More stunning revelations came after when she told Abunda what she discovered; Salang’s real intentions why she married her.“Kasi mayroon siyang friend dati, siguro mga three months pa lang kami, siguro naawa siya sa akin or nakunsensya. Sinabi niya sa akin na may balak si Jed na papatulan lang ako and later on hindi ko masabi ang word… pero kapag nagawa na niya iyon, iiwan na niya ako and may kakasamahin siyang iba”This alleged someone that Ai-Ai was referring to is Jed Salang’s ex-girlfriend. “Noon ko nalaman iyon and ngayon ko na-confirm. Alam ko dahil from the very beginning ramdam ko naman iyon. Kaya lang natatakot ako sa totoo and natatakot ako dahil alam ko kapag nalaman ko ‘yung totoo, sobrang sakit,”Ai-Ai said that in their relationship of over a year, she opt to hide the flaws of their relationship, making her self believe in a fairy tale love story; that her husband becomes different after their wedding on April 2, 2013. She is also thankful that she narrowly escapes their marriage this early.Ai-Ai also said that she still loves Salang but that does not compensate the pain that he caused her.When asked if she was loved by her husband, she answered – “Sa lahat ng nalaman ko, tingin ko hindi. Kahit kailan hindi”. Then she broke down in tears.The interview ended in an apology of Ai-Ai to herself and to her kids.And because of this controversial interview, all social media hell breaks loose as public anger poured, sympathizing for Ai-Ai.
